The Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) is a Kenyan government body responsible for safeguarding animal and human health, improving animal welfare, and boosting animal resource productivity to support food security and trade. It is part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Co-operatives and offers various services including diagnostic and inspection services, and facilitates the mandatory internship program for veterinary graduates.
